Default Where to buy wrecked Harley's???

I want to start looking into buying a wrecked Road Glide to use as a custom build base. Where is a good place to look?

Try www.crashedtoys.com

I know someone that bought a Larson runabout there for about 1/4th the book value after a raccoon had messed up the seats.

Try www.maximummotors.net, he's located in Georgia & is very honest & easy to work with. It's going to be more difficult to arrange shipping when buying directly from an auction company, most won't want to mess with the hassle of arranging the overseas shipping. Check to see about registering the bikes in Italy beforehand, there are bikes that get a "parts only" title over here that go for quite a bit less, many have no more damage than regular salvage title bikes. Some states just label all totaled bikes that way now? I bought from a RG from Maximum last year & am very pleased with the deal, Lee was good about disclosing all damage, some won't or don't look for anything that isn't visibly evident. Good luck, it's a good way to go if you want to do a custom build.

I've called and talked to Maximum once or twice. Nice thing about his bikes is that most of them run, lots of pictures, and most are NOT basket cases. I have another site that I take a look at from time to time but the URL is on another computer; will send that along when I get to that machine. One thing that Maximum cautions is check what your local laws require in putting a salvage titled bike back on the road. Enjoy fixing it up.
