I hate installing anything sticky on anything. It doesn't mix with my fat fingers. Good luck!

It's child's play easy-peasy. Like previously said, use plenty of soapy water on both the bags and film. Slide it around to where you want it and use the squee-gee to get the water out from underneath.
You can get a squee-gee at Wally World, Big R, Home Depot, Lowes, any automotive supplier.....get the picture? A hair dryer or heat gun is helpful for any compound curves. Use only enough heat to remove the folds from the film with the squee-gee.
I don't honestly know why you'd need any water/alcohol mix - I've done many without it but I've also always used 3M film (costs way less).
