My bike is smoother after washing it
It's not in my head either. I've noticed this more than once that after a full wash my bike doesn't vibrate as much as normal during the 200 yards it takes to reach the first stop sign at the end of the street. This is a bone stock 2010 RKC. Generally the bike has the typical Harley shake at idle and low speed but right after a wash the idle shake is about 50% less than normal and this pleasant smoothness is maintained during the first gear ride to the end of the street.
My theory is somehow the water lubricates the motor mount system and lets the motor shake more easily - sort of like having softer rubber. I could be wrong about that but the temporary smoothness is genuine, whatever the cause.

Ummm what's wrong with the vibration? That's part of the experience! My new FLTRX has 450 miles on it and I can't wait for her to loosen up!!!
