Default Tour pak what to do?

OK have an 09 FlHRC with 58K with 2 more years of extended warranty and decided rather than buy new to put new paint set on - see below. Old was hot red sun glow new is mostly vivid black. Tour pak does not go with the rest. So I can:
1) paint ($180 in materials quoted and I have never painted)
2) Sell/trade and buy another factory used *BUT* top does not match bottom (don't ask what happens when bike is on lift with top open and you use the garage door :-( and now I just found and sort of repaired a crack - I also used a bra when it was on the bike....)
3) Sell/trade for Mutazu tour pak - not DMY but clone pack

Questions given pictures below - could I get $450 for what I have
-with repairing the top how hard would it be to paint this thing - I do have a cheap Harbor Freight gun that I have used to pain wood working projects
-Lots of info on the DMY from Mutazu but not as much on the tour pak any body use one??

I would suggest you talk to a Paint shop. Ask them what they would charge if you did all the prep work?
(Remove the hinges and latches / lock, seat, insert, and sand (to rough up the service, the shop will tell you what grade of sand paper to use) May surprise you (as in labor rates).

I think I'd sell what ya got and get a new HD one from one of the 20% vendors. I suck at painting so would have to have that done (harley paint is really good) and my Mutazu pac is too weak to use on a daily basis.

I would stick with the original Harley stuff and get it painted. Painting is not that big of a deal, it's all in the prep work. Its important on how you repaired the crack also.

+1 I'm in the process of swapping out the Scarlett Red parts on my 2010 SG for Denim Black parts. I should be able to sell my Scarlett items and re-coup some $.

I went from a Sunglo Blue to a Vivid Black and had my TP painted for $150. I took it all apart, drilled all the rivets and took it to the body shop in 3 pieces (3rd piece is my spoiler). They painted it and I took it home and reinstalled everything with the help of some screws and back plates from a guy on ebay that sells them. No need for a rivet tool from Harley and no need for new latches or locks, just the hardware. Very easy project!
