Default Maintenance schedule(compensator)

How the heck can the compensator bolt back off(loosen).I was looking at the maintenance schedule for my 2010 flhtk and it is recommended to inspect compensator sprocket every 5000 miles. Is dealer not inspecting???? Im upgrading to s/e compensator for piece of mind.
