Default Question Regarding 2007 FLHRS ECM Recalibration

Several weeks ago, I received a letter from HD stating that their research had determined that my ECM should be recalibrated. It goes in the letter that the service would be performed “at no charge” to me and even states that the offer is also good if Igenuine HD performance products have been installed. (dealer installed only?)

Iinstalled the SE street pipes myself and I hope to be installing the SE Stage I air cleaner myself this weekend.

My questions are:

If I install the SE Stage I Air Filter Kit and then take it to the dealer, should the ECM recalibration be at “no charge”? I called the dealer and was told "Well, yes, if HD will pay for it......" His response wasn't too reassuring.

Just how much does a dealer charge to recalibrate an ECM? They wanted $110.00 to install the Air Filter but I don't know how much of that was for the ECM recalibration - forgot to ask.

Have any of you 2007 Touring owners been there/done this? Many thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jack

The 903 download is free, and any stage download that you already paid once for should also be free.
