Smile Changing RIMS..what tire sizes?

Hi All,
I have a 2005 Road King, I am in the process of changing Rims, going from laced spokes to a SOLID (Chrome 9 spoke cast solid) Rim HD part numbers 41886-07 and 41889-07 .... + install kits.
(1st) What is the largest size tire can the RIM accomodate as well as the bike frame, itself?
(2nd) I am looking at the Dunlop 402's or the Metzeler 880 or the Avon Venoms, any input will be greatly appreciated.
(3rd) Radials or Bias Ply ?

FYI, I am NOT a speed demon...70/75 MPH max and then once in a while.

Thank you all...

Lastly, I searched everywhere and can't find the specifications on these Rims at all....does anyone know?

If those are 16" rims then a 130/16 on the front and a 150/16 on the rear.

I have a 2005 Ultra....went with PM Gasser's on front and rear.....18". Stock width on the front and 4.25 on the rear. No rubbing and noticed big improvement in looks and handling.

As far as sizes that will fit on a 2005 bagger, you can go up to a 21x3.5 in the front and an 18x4.25 on the rear if you wish but I got the sense from this post that you already avhe the wheels and just need to know tire sizes.

Would the wheels off of a 2012-13 Street Glide fit an 05 RK?

The front will, not the rear, you would need a 06-07 rear or 08 if you change out the bearings. Sorry, this was an answer to Hunter 1s question, forgot to put in the quote.

"If those are 16" rims then a 130/16 on the front and a 150/16 on the rear."

I found these two which I am considering..
130/90 - 16 M/C 67H TL - WW and 150/80 B 16 M/C 71H TL - WW

Are these the correct ones?

Again THANK YOU very much for your help.

Wink

Avon Venoms have been superseded by Cobras recently, otherwise sizes are unchanged. If you change brands check pressures with them as some brands use different ones to those in the owners handbook.
