Default Florida Trip last week of Dec

I'm going to take a ride down to Florida for the last week of December. I've been pretty much everywhere it seems, but I know I have missed a lot. I like the Naples area, St Petersburg has it's good points, I don't like the over crowededness of Miami. Anyone have any ideas on where to go, what to see?

If you go through the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area and if you're into classic cars I was going to suggest you stop at Golden Classics but their website does not give an address and it now says it's by appointment only. When I was there 10 years ago you could just walk through like any normal dealer. I guess they got sick of the tire kickers. Awesome inventoy of immaculately restored muscle cars though.

If you are going to be riding, North/Central Florida has some nice back roads lined with large oak and pine trees.
When I say central, I am talking a line from the north of Tampa on the west coast over to the north of Orlando and into the Daytona area on the east coast.
Look at a map of those areas and you will see many secondary roads that twist through the state.
Have a great trip.

Take a ride down Route 1 through the keys, party in Key West and wave at Cuba!

Depends on what you like - there's the Don Garlits museum north of Orlando, the oldest fort in the US in St Augustine, the beautiful Siesta Key beach near Sarasota...

+1 on A1A. Fernandina beach to Daytona and beyond. Riding next to the ocean a lot of the way. Beautiful to see and plenty of watering holes along the way.

Nice ride indeed. Plenty of open road away from traffic. Also if you get down to Naples make sure to hit old Naples. Some incredible houses. Plenty of great places to eat.
