Default CVO Audio on standard Road King

Greetings,

I currently own a 2012 Road King Classic. I have added lower fairings and hard saddlebags. I was impressed by the 2013 Road King CVO sound system and started to investigate doing something like that on my bike. If you are not familiar with the system, it comes with 5.25" boom audio speakers in the lower fairings and 5"x7" boom audio speakers in the saddlebags. Amp and ipod interface are located in the right saddlebag. Volume control is on the handlebars. Simple enough to add to my bike eh? No, Harley does not have a wire harness to duplicate this set up on a non CVO. Has anyone added this kind of set up to your King? Was also thinking it would be cool to add the boom audio handlebar pods (which comes with volume control) along with lower fairing and saddlebag speakers, all tied into the same amp. J&M Audio indicates they are working on such a set up but no release date yet. If you have done something like this, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks!

you can drop some aftermarket 6.5" speakers in the lowers, go with aftermarket 6x9 saddlebag lids with an amp and aftermarket ipod interface for a lot less $ unless you're getting a killer deal on this CVO stuff.

Hey Peeps,

Has anyone figured out how to bypass the factory amplifier in the 2013 RK CVO? I would like to install amp and upgrade speakers but dont want to loose handlebar controls for ipod and volume.. Any thoughts?? or which forum to pose this question??

We have the wiring harness in the works to both add to the OEM system, for adding a fairing. As well as to replace the amp. We will keep you posted as we have orders for 7 fairings currently for the red and blue 2013 CVO Kings.
We will post kits and notify of the wiring kits available. We will also post pics for anyone interested in adding the fairing to one.

Default Cvo tins

I’m looking for same harness. I have a 13 roadking that someone installed 13 cvo tins on and installed a streetglide fairing.i’m looking for harness to make it so I can use the amp that’s in the bag and possible find Handel bar controls and use them too as I currently have to adjust volume from the radio.
