Default Hayden m6 // Re-check at 500 miles ???

"Hayden suggests that you go back into the primary after 500 miles or so and make another measurement to ensure that the device has adequate room to adjust up and down without bottoming out. That completes the install."

Those who are using Hayden, did you go back into your primary and check it after 500 miles ??? I don't mind the oil, but the 2 gaskets are about 50 dollars.. A little costly don't you think ???

mine were fine ( 2 x evos) when checked after some period of use and onwards.

gaskets can sometimes be reused if initially torqued to the lower end of the range.

the evo style "paper" gaskets are preferred by me as they will better seal against any deformity in the gasket or in the surfaces.

an indy will carry "paper" style gaskets, HD does not

I wouldn't bother, I think it's just the companys CYA statement.

After installing mine it measured 1/4 ". Hayden say's that's ok. Should wear in to the perfect 3/8" and be that for a around 50,000 miles.
