I have tried the Ice wax... lasts a while... what i do is use Doc Bailey and then wax it...keeps it black for a good while. Paint is the best.

Appreciate your efforts in trying to keep it looking good, but at the end of the day, the stock inner faring is dull and just gets duller with age. Not kicking on anyone here that has a stock inner faring, but here's an idea.

Every now and then you can find an inner for sale on Ebay. If you can purchase it, you can get it painted by a local guy and switch it out. That keeps your down time to a minimum. Then you can sell your inner on Ebay or to whomever to recoup some of your cost. You will love a painted inner faring and once you get it, you will wonder why you ever waited.

This will sound funny, but I have used Vaseline on old faded radio ***** to bring back a nice shine. I haven't used Vaseline on the stock inner faring, but might not hurt to try it in an obscure corner to see what kind of results you can get.
