Default Where to install secondary fuse panel?

Thinking of adding a supplementary fuse panel to clean up the extra wiring from the battery terminals. There doesn't seem to be a clear spot under the seat besides the void in front of the battery. Can't really get at it there. I've considered mounting it inside the fairing. Does that make any sense? Has anyone mounted one of these?

on my evo, I did extensive rewiring under the fairing- so essentially a 10 gauge wire running from the battery up into the fairing- and then fuses and relays up there.

the 10 Ga wire was fused at the battery as well.

you could also add in the left side cover, should be room there.

Thanks, Mike. The fairing made sense to me since many of the added electrics were from up front anyway. I planned to run ten or twelve ga leads up there. Should have the desired effect to clean up all the excess wires under the seat. Thanks for the insight.

10 is good, stranded wire- not solid.

and the fuse as close to the battery as you can - the fuse value should be closely matched to the load

there is a danger of chafing the insulation, I slide tubing over my added wiring ( similar to a heat shrink tubing, but thicker) just in case.

I understand. I have the wire and the extra tubing layer already.

The left side cover seems like a good idea but is there any room with the existing fuse panel? The right side would be better except for the abs system.

Have look here: http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Wi...fuseboxes.html

Agreed next to the exsisting fuse pannel or in the fairing.

Good luck.

Meyhem, that's the part I'm going to install. If I didn't have the ABS under the right side cover I'd probably put it there. I'm not sure there's enough room near the existing fuse panel. The fairing seems like a pretty good second choice.
