Default True Dual or take out the cat ?????

Hi if i take out the cat in my exhaust will do the same thing as if i get true duals ???? the dealer here charge 300$ to take it off and i think the true dual (header ithink) would cost a bit more ? what is the best option ??? Thank you

I like my TDs and will do it again. Others have been very happy with removing the cat. Either one of these options are good for decreasing the heat from the stock headers. You will get different opinions on performance with the TDs.

I would go with stock and remove the cat. That way you will keep the scavenging effect of the two into one into two. Others like the true dual but either way it will work.

Removing cat is the easiest and least expensive. You can get cat free stock pipes for about $150.(Keep your stock pipes) Add pair of Vied's $120) and you will get a better performing, cooler running and better sounding bike all around.

V&H power duals will enhance power and get rid of the cat, But they are expensive.

I put true duals in because I could not find anyone locally that would cut out the cat. I have ben very happy with the choice I made.

Whatever you choose,,, I think $300 just to remove the cat is very expensive.... My HD Dealership said they would charge $125 (that was with the purchase of a new bike)... Although I chose to go with an S&S head pipe.

Please don't pay them $300 to remove your cat that's halfway to a killer aftermarket exhaust system. Highway robbery

If you already have a power commander or other tuner, all you need is a new map to adjust for the loss of a cat, or duals. (no Vied)

The factory exhaust flows pretty well, as it is a well designed 2 into 1 into 2 system.

The aftermarket systems are much more expensive.

It is more typical to pay $100 to $150 for stock pipes with cat removed. They might even buy your stock pipe with cat back from you to make it even cheaper.
