Default SE255 or 103

Guys I need a little advise. I have a 07 street glide with stage 1 the initial plan was to add SE 255 cam and be done. When I called the guy that is going to do the install he said he would use the original push rods that got me to thinking for $500 more I could do the 103. Question is would adding the 103 give me that much more performance and if I add the 103 do I need to scrap the 255's that I have and go to another cam? Riding style is 50\50 2 up usually in the 2500 to 4500 rpm very rarely get over 90mph just wanted more torque but don't want to miss an opportunity for better performance at a low cost. Thanks for the help

Maybe talk to Dragos, Frank has a couple of diff. cams that would work very well for what you are looking for.

TW-555 CAMS, adjustable push rods, gasket set, o-rings, dyno tune> DONE

Going from a stock 96 CI to a stock 103 CI really ain't a much of a feel -it-in-your-seat difference

Best bang for your buck would be the 255 Cam and a serious tune. Whatever your most trusted dyno guy uses for a tuner. I used a SEPST, but have heard good reviews on others. That is where you will get a noticeable improvement without going broke. I am sure many opinions will follow.

The 255 is a great cam for the 103.

Cams in the 96" will do more than going to the 103" stocker.
As recommended, check out other cams as well prior to doing, for there are better options.

Would cams in 96" do more than a 106/107 jug change..?

I am also planning on completing the 103 upgrade with the 255 cams at the end of the month. The tuner I plan to go with is going to be the power vision from Fuel Moto with their tailored tune to my components. I am very interested in what fellow forum members have to say about this upgrade.

I would consider going Fuel Moto 107 and being done with it.

Stock 103 is an easier riding bike than a stock 96 (had both). If you are going to the cost of a 103, going to 107 is just about the same, and if you have the juggs off, might as well get some specific cams for the 107 while you have it apart.

Best bang for the bucks would still be going with cams in your 96.
