They've had plans to retool the fairing for some time now. I had assumed it would be out for the 2013 model year but it didn't happen.

I have it from a reliable source that the EPA shut down the RG because there is a limit to the amount of Fugly a company can put on the road per year.

I find this much more belivelable than... "the tooling to produce the frame mounted fairings on the RG is shot..... And that they are re-tooling for a different frame mounted fairing touring bike?"
Do you really beleive the multi-million $$ (or billion $$!) MoCo cannot "re-tool" mid-year?
The Road Glide is at it's peak of popularity sence it's introduction, can't really see the MoCo halting production for any reason at this point!
Guess we'll all have to wait & see, these rumors have been going on for years!

And here's me saying that Harley is going to ruin the Road Glide before it actually happens.

I don't trust Harley's redesign, see the Wideglide, that's why I bought my Roadglide this year.

Agreed. The popularity of the RG is at al all time high. I cannot fathom a halt in production. That would be like FOMOCO halting production of F250's for a year.

IMO halting production for a year is a possibility it makes everyone scramble to buy one then when they bring it back in 15 they would sell like wildfire lol.
