THE ULTIMATE TALL RIDER THREAD! (6'4 and above)

Lower fairings
I'm only 6'1", but i can't bend my right leg more than 70 degrees. I made some 2" brackets and moved the bottom crash bar forward 2". I put my highway pegs so I can rest my heels on the floorboards and my toes on the highway pegs. I just rotate and press the brake with my heel. moving the crash bar forward moved the lower fairing as well so I could reach the brake pedal from the highway peg without hitting the fairing. I also installed the 1" floorboard extension brackets. I put on the wild one 10" apes and it fits me perfect now.

Just thought I would post for all the tall riders out there who might be considering changing out their brake pedal. I purchased an extended model (thanks Jefla) pedal and had read many posts on the difficulty of making the change. It was actually quite easy. I will say that having a hemostat in my tool box really helped get the old cotter pin out and the new one in. I did not loosen the rear brake master cylinder, there was no need.
Several miles later I love the extended pedal which has a much lower angle in addition to the length. Much better than stock.

Building up a Beast
2014 Road King
18" Apes are nice but at 6'8" I think 20's would have been even better and still legal.
Extended shifter without heel shifter works for size 15 boots over extended floorboards that are lowered with brackets from Tall Boys. A few sparks here and there remind me there is always a trade off.
Brake pedal from TB is nice that its' lower and easier getting on and off of but its' too low to allow my boot under it. The guys there are willing to work with me to modify.
Tall Boy seat is slated for MeanCity to work some magic getting me up and back just a little bit more.
Extended the mirrors and have a 22" shield.
looking at going to a 26" shield (what a monster that will be).
Removed stock air shocks and replaced with Jri's at 275lbs plus passenger etc etc this was a no brainer.
In the end I wouldn't say the bike 'll be pretty but a true Road King, yes.

6'7", 38" inseam. 2006 FLHT.
Le Para Maverick Daddy Long Legs seat, TallBoys brackets with 3/4" spacers, removed vents from lowers, HD TallBoy bars (10" apes), Kuryakyn Longhorn Trident highway pegs. Also moved the trunk back and spaced her boards out.
I probably should have gone with higher bars, these were attractive because I didn't have to change out any cables/wires. They have a much flatter wrist angle vs stock. Looking to do brake and shifter from Softbrake next.
