The other day I came across a thread showing the mid-frame heat deflectors painted to match the rest of the bike. Now that got me thinking that I absolutely positively "Have to have that". I mean we are not talking about boy that would be nice, no, this is a must have. After all it is going to make the bike run cooler thereby extending the life of the bike and saving me money down the road right??
Well, the next logical thought was if I am going to get a painter for the heat shields then I probably should get my tour pak light painted. But, I saw one of those LED lights at a dealer over the weekend and really liked it.
The question is....can the black portion of the LED tour pak light be painted to match the rest of my bike?
Also I have a 2012 Ultra in Ember Red and Merlot....should I get the light kit in the RED or the Merlot?
I like the red better so am leaning that way....
You know if we werent so determined to make our bikes different from everyone elses we could have saved a bunch of money

Yes, you can paint it. Do it before you install it. I wish I would have.

 

I just got mine back from the painter today, will post pics when I get it on tomorrow. Mike's Hawg Paint out of California took care of the painting, I live in NC and ship all my parts to him for paint, he is that good. Look him up on the web, you won't be dissapointed.
