first off ive had other 12 inch shields but i think its the lean angle of the shield that makes it work for me. i get hit with some air around the top of head that blows my hair around but not violent air. was able to buzz around town up to 40 mph with my hat on, could do that before. if i can get the air taken care of that comes around the gas tank now i think ill have it right where i want it to be. the shield looks much better on my bike than i thought it would, at least to me. a big a+ to long ride shields for a very well made shield.

 

Same shield and bike here. I had their original 10" now the Mako 12" and still too much wind for me. Maybe I was just spoiled by the wind protection their 10", ultra flip, recurve (whatever it was called!) I had on the FLHT and may never get that same protection on the RG. Think my next try will be the 13" or 14" WindVest.
Glad the LRS Mako is working out for you though!

 

I thought these were flipped at the top? Got a 14" waiting in the box ... bought it for my cross country trip to the roadglide rally this summer.
