Very good, well done. Certainly something I would look at we're this to happen to me. Personally I really like the HK and have had no issues with it whatsoever, despite the bad press it gets on this forum

Great photos and write-up Dan. Wow, glad you found that loose connector leg. That kind of stuff is so hard to find. I had my HK out of the bike once to install a rear audio jack. I did that for two reasons...clean up the looks of the front so no cable would have to be plugged into the front jack. The other was known issues with the fragile little solder points for the front jack. Repeated in and out of a stereo plug has been known to separate the legs from the board. So anyway, I went with the rear audio jack mod I read about here:

I also bought the cell phone interface so I can have transmit audio for my phone (blue toothed via the Zumo) through the Harley rider audio system.
