Default Billet Pulley -VS- OEM Pulley

I was given a new Arlen Ness Billet Pulley from my brother and was thinking about using it on my dresser since my stock pulley has seen better days. I am curious to other peoples opinion about using billet pulley’s, are they just for show or is there actually a benefit to using a billet pulley? The reason I am asking this is, I ride a large number of miles a year and I don’t need any headaches, my thought on this is based by looking at the two and the billet pulley looks to be a serious piece of aluminum compared to the stock piece of crap. I can’t believe they get $500.00 for one of these, talk about highway robbery.

True, you can't see them on a bagger anyways, I bought one a shop had laying around for $50 it was nice looking thing, but I sold it on Ebay for $250. could not of seen in under the bags

Thanks for the replies, well it's going on my bagger, the only reason that I am putting it on my bagger is because it was an inheritance from my brothers estate. It really is a shame that you can’t see it, but I really am not concerned about the looks as much as I am function.

I didn't buy the matching rear pulley or rotor when I ordered my wheels. Like others have said, it isn't seen plus I already have the HD floating rotor. Now I did buy the matching rotors for the front.
