Sometimes it's a bad bake switch/relay...have you changed grips lately, or checked rear relay for damage..??

check your roll off switch ...
If ohmmeter indicates continuity, the roll-off switch may
be shorted and entire cable must be replaced.disconnect one wire and the cruise will stay on

When both brake switches, brake relay, throttle connector behind A/C, roll off pot/switch, fairing connections are found OK you still have every signal collected from the bike's harness going in and coming out of the ECU. This is a good opportunity to clean all contacts, inspect and protect with grease the big connector located under the seat.

Finally you may simply find an error code

The "Disable" function is activated when the coil of the stop light relay is powered: you need to press "resume" to continue.
The throttle flap position error (measured in volts) will throw a code but may not turn off CC. This must be confirmed by others.

You probably have a short. Check your connections from the handle bars inside the fairing. Hopefully you didnt strip a wire inside the bars.

if you changed handlebars, I would suspect the brake light switch in the right handlebar switch housing. this is a common issue. if your brake light switch front or rear comes on even for an instant while riding, your cruise will disengage...
