Hi there.

I have a 2010 Ultraglide and bought the detachable tour pak mounting kit.
Now i've read how to remove the tourpack itself, that shouldnt be a problem.
But how do you remove the mounting bracket that is attached to the tourpack.

Ive included a pic.

I'm not looking at my bike right now so I couldn't answer this for you, but I do have a question. Why would you want to remove the mounting bracket from the TP?? Just remove the TP, put it on your shop shelf or hang it up and go. Why would you need to take the bracket off?

 

The mounting bracket is what makes the tourpak qd!

 

I think he wants to know how to remove the stock mounting bracket,so he can install the detachable mounts.

 

If that's the case, it should have come with instructions and a drilling template, right? I'm not positive, because I had the dealer install mine before I took delivery. But I would think that the holes might line right up on the regular mount as well as the quick-detach mount so you don't have unnecessary holes in your TP, correct? Just guessing here though.

There are nuts and bolts inside the tourpak and under the tourpak
