Time For New Speakers
I dont listen to my stereo that much but sometimes its nice to have some tunes available. I still have the stock 07 speakers which were never that good but are getting worse...just lots of distortion now.
I dont want to add an amp or super high end 6" speakers and tweeter pods, just better replacements. Im thinking about maybe some 2 way speakers would add some quality to the sounds.
My music comes from either the radio or an Ipod Nano with various R&R stuff on it.
I know there are multiple opinions on speakers (ref recent JM thread), Alpine, JL, Infinity, Sony, Pioneer, Hogtunes, etc.... so whos running what for stock replacements.
Thanks

I bought the Hogtunes speakers.
Much better then stock and sound pretty good for $100.
I'm not an audiophile so I just wanted to be a little louder with less distortion and these did the trick.
I did add their amp, which also made a big difference for cheap.
It all depends on how much you want to spend and how much you expect from the system.

Without an amp ya need to stick with 2 ohm speakers. Infinity and JBL are both made by Harman Kardon like your radio and have some nice 2 ohm coax 6.5" speakers that along with some dragonfly (forum sponsor offers discounts to members) adapters will blow most "motorcycle" set-ups away for under $200.
