Dealer installed trickle charger connector
I have a trickle charger connector installed on my SG by LA HD that was on it when I bought the bike
I have been using it for over a year and works fine, battery always charged and the battery tender show a red light after a ride and then reverts to green "float mode" once charged appropriately.
My question is where do these connectors connect to the battery? I installed an amp and when running the power and ground to the battery there was no o-ring connectors on the battery terminals that would be for the trickle charger....?
Do some charger leads connect elsewhere? Seems strange?
Never had a battery charge issue bike kicks first time every time plenty of battery charge...
Interesting..

Sort of along the same lines I was wondering, I had always thought that it would be nice to have my Gerbings heated wear connector hooked up to a switched circuit instead of directly to the battery. That way once the bike is off the controller would be off also. No mistakenly leaving the bike parked with the controller still on. Anyone ever do this?

If its a placebo i will laugh out loud as my bike must "think" it's battery is charged all the time and reflect it in the gauge! However I have personally used placebo's on patients when i was at med school and they can work on humans...go figure...
