Default Street Glide Question

I have a 2012 Street Glide. I bought it used. Does these bikes come from the factory with conventional oil or synthetic oil. I am due an oil change soon. I was told the bike has conventional oil in it. I had someone tell me today all newer bikes come with synthetic. So i am confused on what is in bike now. Can anyone shed some light?

I'm almost certain they come with conventional oil but regardless you can change over as I did on my first oil change.

You can go with any oil you want. Doesn't matter what's in it now.

When I picked my SG up last week they said they put convential in it new, but they recommend changing it over as soon as you like but after you do you have to stay with synthetic. Different then what they used to say when I bought my other Harley.

yep. only the CVO comes with Syn. I switched over to synthetic on the first oil change. You can switch if you want, but dont feel you HAVE to.

All companies brag about their oil to try to sell it really just boils down to what you want to run same with car oil. quality of oil today I honestly believe its all about the same in any trusted name brand some swear by this or that but it's all about the same IMHO. Conventional or synthetic either way.
