I just went to bar mirrors with my 10" Yaffe MBB. Went to AutoZone and got plugs there. One plug fits over both holes...and same color/finish as stock inner fairing

I just changed my bars, and used the opportunity to get this issue rectified. I'm 6'1", and felt like I was having to look down/search for things behind me. I routinely got surprised by people coming up on me. Now, with WO 578s, I have mirrors on the bars, & put on a color matched fairing. I'm never going back. Nobody will sneak up on me again. Safety first. The stock mirrors seem to be similar to the mirrors on Waverunners and the like. They look nice because they are integrated, but functionality is in serious question...IMHO--of course...

I just removed my fairing mirrors on my 14 SGS. Saw a brushed nickel Harley skull medallion on a key ring at the dealer, bought 2, cut of the leather, ground down the studs, epoxied it to a flat head bolt and bolted her up!! Like 30 bucks and looks pretty freakin sharp if I do say so myself! : )
Idea should work with whatever you want to use.

Took them off within the 1st 100 mi of getting the bike, used the dealer plugs and went with stock Electra glide mirrors. My bike is not a show bike, so having some tiny black plugs in the stock unpainted fairing does not bother me in the slightest. Being able to see what is behind me and when I'm passing is priceless.
