In the event of a two tone match, I prefer going with the darker choice for the inner fairing. I bought a Reckless Fairing for my 'King, and went with the darker of the two tone Candy Rootbeer to reduce glare and am glad I did.

I stay stock- living in the Desert, any bright reflections back at the eyes are no fun for all day riding.
When i was shopping, one of the bikes was Red Hot Sun Glo with a matched inner.
really annoying and that and a couple of other issues ( really poor "tuning" ) I passed on that bike although it was a killer deal.
Instead I bought another bike, also red hot.
Down here the sun is so blazing, I often ride with the filler cap up ( or a hand over it) to cut down on glare.
Just a thought on practicality, there are a lot of times when a matte surface makes for better vision
but as always it is whatever makes the owner happy
