Default Front Signal light replacement

Ok...full disclosure: I'm a mechanical dummy. There, thats out of the way. lol.

Today I noticed one of my front turn signal bulbs was burned out. Went to dealer and bought the correct amber, dual element one. Got home, was able to pop off the signal lens and replaced the bulb. Checked the bulb..100%. Now, I can't get the frickin lens cover back on...is there a trick for dummies??

Thanks

Jack

Do you have the flat type turn signals or the bullet type? What exactly are you running into - the lens won't go back into the housing?

Darn....as you can see I have the flat style, and did replace a bulb before I converted to LED's. Sorry I can't help you. Someone will be able to, though.

Hang in there and good luck.

Probably what has happened is the amber lens has been pushed forward in the chrome housing and the tabs on the amber lens will not lock. Try pushing the amber lens to the rear exposing the tabs more and try to lock in. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thats exactly what happened: when trying to put it back on, I was holding onto the chrome outer, which allowed those inner tabs to move in too tight to lock. Pushed them forward, installed by gently pushing on the lens, not the chrome, and it snapped. Thanks
