2012 FLHTK with Rinehart slipons need remap
Ok, so I put a set of Rinehart 4” slip on’s On my 2012 FLHTK. I’m getting a little popping decelerating. Not much but I can notice it. So I’m thinking re-map. If I’m gonna do this I want to put a Stage 1 Air Cleaner on it. I like the styling of the S&S as it remind me of my Shovelhead of 30 years I still have. Any recommendations and results!

The decal pop could be from an exhaust leak? Rinehart’s instructions for slip ons only suggest you don’t need a re-map. I just installed Rinehart’s as well and on occasion I also get a little decal pop. In my case I also have the Catless head pipe and the free flowing Rinehart’s will suck air in on decal and mess with the O2 sensors. Check for exhaust leaks first, and go from there.

By rule when doing only slip-ons you don't need to remap or do a tuner, however naturally these bikes are lean so it never hurts to do some type of fuel management without doing anything. If harley gave you a stage 1 download and your have a decel pop this is from too much fuel so your rich. Redo the map. We offer power commanders and can mapp them for you free of charge if you looking for a tuner along with great prices as well.......call in
