HD 3 Pocket Fairing Pouch
Just purchased an HD 3 Pocket Fairing Pouch. It includes 3 spacers that are supposed to be installed between the inner and outer fairings. Why? What purpose could theses spacers serve? They are thinner in thickness than the windshield and pouch mounting tab combined. so the inner and outer fairing are going to clamp down on the windshield and pouch mounting tab so what is the point of putting the spacers in?

maybe to space the pouches away from the windscreen- my Pal uses the HD and his windscreen is scratched to heck by the pouch
1 of the reason I use the tbag

1. I also tossed the spacers.
2. I use a 2in by 12in strip of 1/4 in black neoprene between the bags and the windshield.
3. Have known a few with the T-Bags pouches. They ended up cracking. I personally prefer the leather HD bags over the Vinyl T-Bags.

I used the spacers. They were a b*tch to hold in place. I had to use a pair of small needle nose pliers.

Same here. Spacers were a bit rough, but easier than expected.
And as far as the scratches... I don't plan on taking it off, and you can't see them.

No spacers on mine either... My bike came with the HD 3 pouch fairing bag already on it, had no idea it came with spacers. Didn't notice any scratches and I recently changed out my small solid windshield for the medium clear one.
