Default Vibration in 2012 103

Odd situation unfolding and unsure from where. Engine started vibrating on cold take offs. Engine starts fine, no noticeable vibrations or odd noises at first then as I come up to speed the vibrating starts, more to a harmonic resonance than a full vibration. Always around 3K any gear until the engine has warmed over a dozen miles or so then it tapers away to not noticeable. Just at 5K on ride now.

Took it to dealer, of course they are 20+ miles away so it had stopped by the time I got there. vibrates enough to back out the seat retainer bolt and the flip over foot peg through bolts, finding a lot of backed out fasteners since noticing it.

I am thinking you have a compensator about to turn loose,mine did at 5000 miles.

I am dropping scoot off with the dealer on Friday, they are going to try a absolute cold start drive off and see how it does. The Service Mgr agrees that it is probably a compensator but wants a rough diagnose first to warrant the entry into the primary case if need be under warranty. Any thoughts on the SE comp?

If it's a 2012 i believe you already have one in there stock.

Turned out simple, something I would not have considered. The crossover mount was mispositioned and somewhat loose, cold engine it retracted enough to make contact to the frame, warmed up it moved itself away and the vibrations slowed or stopped altogether. All better now and no charge.

Stock exhaust? I started having some vibes after V&H dresser dual install.

Mine currently is stock, not sure I am going to change anything as reasonably happy with as is. Check the mounting hardware while cold, look for contact points, if it does it hot then wait til then and look for areas the pipes heat warp to.

My crossover after warmup would rub the plate of my trutrack stabilizer. I ground off the edge of the stabilizer to get clearance when hot. Those pipes expand more when hot than i expected.
