Smile Best rear tire for a 07 FLHTC ?

Looking to replace my rear tire on my 07 FLHTC . Now I know the Dunlop 402 MU85B16 will fit and the D402 MT90B16. But I'm looking for the widest that will fit without any modifications. Not to look cool I'm way to old for that. Its for the best ride and the extra weight that is on my bike. Anyone have any ideas ???

I put the mu90 b16 Dunlop elite3 on my 07 ultra. It seemed to handle a little better and last longer.

I agree with the E3. Put on my Yamaha (same size) and it handled great. Also put the matching front on too. Only bad thing is black wall only.

Here's what I'm thinking for the rear..
160/80B-16 (80H) Dunlop Elite 3 Bias-Ply Touring Rear Motorcycle Tire
Anyone think it maybe too big?

And for the front
MT90B-16 (72H) Dunlop Elite 3 Bias-Ply Touring Front Motorcycle Tire

OR should I go for the Radial ???

160 is too wide for a 3" rim if that is what you have. Also get a bias tire not radial. Your bike was made for bias. I just put Metzeler ME880 on mine. Stock size up front and a 150/80 16 77H load rating out back. Bike handles like a dream. Had stock Dun lops on before and they were fine but the Metzelers grab the road like nothing and honestly feels like you get more acceleration cause the rear tire grips better.

I ran the 160/80-16 on a 07 SG 3" wheel with no problems with handling & it got great mileage. It is recommended for a 3.5" wheel, but a 150/80-16 Metz is 6.03 width & 160/80-16 E3 is 6.10, so I see no reason it shouldn't work just as well.I ride aggressively & had no problems whatsoever. The 160 is also a multi-tread so it get's much better mileage.

I have the bias e3 MU90 16 rear on my 08..... Super good tire .

I am putting an e3 on the front as soon as the 402 wears out .

CHECK Jake Wilson for super good prices , free shipping .

Has anyone put a 160 on a 3" rim?

And Radial or Ply ??

Any how can you tell when you wear out the elite3 ... Theirs no tread in the center?
