FYI, when I was there last Saturday, Smoky Mountain HD in Maryville, TN had a Candy Orange Road Glide Custom on their showroom floor. I do not know if it was equipped with ABS and security though.

 

You might want to get a hold of Killer Creek HD in Roswell, GA. They have a website. I believe the last time I was in there they had a couple of RG's in the orange color. They are the top bike seller in their region so you might want to give them a yell to see if they still have one around. Your local dealer could probably get it from them if they have it available as I know they are always getting bikes from other dealers when they are looking for something...so it can be done.

If I remember correctly they had 3 of the RG Ultra's but I don't remember the colors on those.

 

As others have said get it now. If you have a stealer you like and they don't have one they can get one from another stealer. I wanted the custom and then added the king TP. Customs normally do not come with ABS and Security but they do have cruise. You can have the stealer add ABS/Security. You will have to wait for the TP though until the moco paints in that color again. I had to wait 6 weeks for the TP but I love the color.

 

Ya may get a better deal late Aug-Sept but ya'll have to take what they got. If ya think ya can be happy with your present bike a couple more years ya may want to wait and see if the new one is a must have? I'm pretty curious...

 

our local dealer has 1 custom and 1 ultra left, won't be any by August plus you will pay a premium because once they are all gone everybody will want one!!

 

Is that true? I remember seeing customs in the dealership with it. Also, I didnt think the stealership could install ABS & security? Or do you mean add it as in find one somewhere and order trade that way?

I do know that security is easy to add later. You simply need to add the security module and have it enabled in the ECU. I too have been told that ABS can NOT be easily/affordably added to a non-ABS bike later.

 

Odd, at dealerships here in Indiana, I've never, ever, not once, seen a bike on the floor without the ABS/Security package. H-D may call it an "option," but the dealers here in Indiana, at least, NEVER order in a bike without it...

 

Dealer can not add ABS, but can add security.

 

The stealerships around here, I don't trust to do an oil change. Let alone letting them Install ABS if they could.....
