2013 Limited- Cutting out After Stage 2
Good Evening,
I just had my local Harley dealer upgrade my 2013 FLHTK to stage 2 today.
A rundown of what was done:
V&H Power Duals
SE Heavy Breather
SE-255 Cams
SE Super Tuner
CFR Slip ons
Dyno
I got a chance to put 50 miles on it after picking it up. It runs very well and pulls hard. It dyno'd at 84.1 hp and 103.96 tq. (Sheet attached). The only problem I'm seeing is the bike cuts out (sounds like a backfire in a carb or cylinder missing) at 2200 RPM. Anything above or below this range results in no sign of the problem. Also as seen on the Dyno sheet, there is a fairly large dip in torque right around this range as well. We are a high elevation (5300 ft) but don't know if tat matters. As i am not a mechanic I was curious if anyone has experienced this or have an idea what could be causing it. I will reach out to them but was hoping I would have a better understanding first.
UPDATE:
The dyno tech took it for a ride this morning and said the problem is a lack of back pressure from the CFR slip ons. He said the only way to address it would be to replace the mufflers, but it won't hurt anything to run it as is and he would not be worried about it if he was me. You do have to give it a little more gas coming off a stoplight than I am used to, but I guess I will run it as is for a while and see how it goes....
