Question Baffle wrap in Rineharts???

i just got off the phone with Rinehart to see if they offered any sort of "quiet baffles" for their 3 1/2" slip-ons... Was advised they offer no such animal and suggested I try baffle wrap... I just assumed they were already wrapped but upon closer inspection found they were stuffed with bare baffles... Has anyone tried this and if so was there much if any difference???

Yeah... I know I'm an old fart and don't tolerate the volume as much as you young bucks do...

I can't imagine why it wouldn't work. I've been re-wrapping dirt bike baffles for years. I even used to have a VW bug in high school that had a "stinger" exhaust. I used to wrap that with fiberglass that I "borrowed" off my parents water heater!! LOL!!

Here you go:

http://steelwooldirect.com/muffler-packing/

Works way better than fiberglass. Doesn't blow out after 500 miles. I might use this product for my 4" Rineharts. They're a bit louder than I expected.

hold it...exhaust pulses may carry small particles back into the motor...steel wool not the best stuff to have moving around in your pipes.

I use supertrapps, they sell exhaust wrapping and I've had it last many many thousands of miles

Definitely don't waste your $$$$ on fiberglass packing.

https://nickel-wiremesh.com/material...-fiber-fabric/

I would recommend fiber glass here. Fiber glass has a high melt point and it absorbs sound better than just anything else.
