Just make us Louisiana boys proud and RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That "ping" under the seat is prolly from the red beans and rice you ate for lunch.

Maybe bad gas, just ride it. Doesn't sound serious..........................yet.

I agree, probably gas, add a little Bean-O to your tank. Just kidding of course. You are using high octane gas aren't you?

Well give a little more info?
How hot outside?
what octane gas?
stock or mods done etc.

Could be a exhaust pipe guard pinging a little but could be something else.
Engine pinging no matter how minor is NOT good.

Maybe it has an '07 motor in it? [:@]

Sorry, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to slide that in.

Good luck on finding the problem and ride safe,

No problem until you hear pong! Really, nobody can tell you anything, it could have been anything, ping is not a very good description to go on.

Well it's possible it was a one time thing.
Intermittent problems are tough to figure out.
But based on the info above you gave, doesn't seem it was hot enough
operating conditions to be a heat related issue at only 72 degrees.
And 93 octane should be plenty high enough, unless in the formulation (ethanol etc).
When you first come to a stop and sit a while (engine running) cylinder temps
will temporarily increase (called heat sinking in autos). And for the first few minutes after taking off until air circulation again cools motor down, the temporary higher cyclinder temps can cause a momentary pinging condition. Especially if when going from firstto second you shift a little soon and don't throttle up enough and load the engine a little.
For now I would ride as normal. Be aware of what you heard, keep an ear open.
