XIED's after 1900 mi trip with 2010SG with cat in header
Just got back from a trip to Tennessee from Michigan. Close to 90 degs all week. XIED's definitely worked for me, the heat from the cat was tolerable, bike ran great, I don't see a need to remove the cat. I have a Rinehart racing muffler and a K&N air filter element, sounds good and loud enough when you step on it and just purrs when cruising.

I'd suggest you monitor your bike's performance from now on. You might see a slow decrease in gas mileage, a change in the idle speed, or even a slow decrease in power. It might even get bad enough that you difficultly starting the bike or keeping it running.
Hope it doesn't happen and really hope it doesn't happen at a very bad time.

my 2012 rgc has a big sucker with cfr copy cats, yeah I said it copy cats. and the vieds. set them up as they suggested at night rider. plugs look great, bike runs fantastic. and the cat is still in and it sounds awesome. just let the dealer replace the regulator on a recall. tech wanted to know what all I had done to it, said it pulled like crazy. I told him not much just breather slipons and an vieds, you know the things you tell folks to stay away from. just stood there looking dumb founded. im not saying they work for everyone, but they sure are working great for me to.
