Default Passing lights adjustment

For reasons I don't understand, one of my passing lamps is too high. There's a section in the manual that goes into detail about where it should point, but doesn't say how to adjust it. There's no adjustment screws, just the lamp held in place by the retaining ring. Any ideas?

This is the tool you need:

Far as I know Snap On is the only company that makes one. I've checked with MAC and others and the don't. If you want the Snap-On I can tell you Its very expensive. Somewhere in the $50 area.

This is what I made using a cheap 9/16 deep well socket and a dremel tool. (this is not my exact socket, just a pic I pulled of the net.)

Its a cheap alternative and I works well. HOWEVER, do be very careful when adjusting the passing lamps as if you turn to far you will pinch the wire coming though the flarenut and loose your passing lights all together, and possibly all your lighting if its shorting out. Ask me how I know....its a real PITA to fix also.

You can also cut a slot in a box end wrench, or just get a line wrench (which is essentially the same thing) of the appropriate size...

I don't see how that would work being the nut is recessed...

I did this as well. Hardest part of this job was taking the 2 Allen screws out of the turn signal to drop it.

Not if you have this!!!
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-8-P...1#.Udwb0xbXX0A

I have two of them. Husky makes them (Home Depot) and General Tools also makes one which can be found in most home improvement stores. I keep one in my tool box and one in the bike. You can use any bit in it and if fits in tight spots. Prefect for this application...(Bonus info- If you have the Brukus Saddle bag secure kit, this makes taking them on and off a snap!)
