Just bought an 2007 street glide with 14,000 miles on it. Noticed Volt gauge was reading close to 16 volts, but put a voltmeter on the battery while running and it reads 14.3. Bad Gauge????? Air Temp gauge pegs out 90% percent of the time. Oil pressure gauge goes to 0 at an idle. Are all these gauge problems possibly related?

 

Next time you remove the outer fairing, make sure the wiring connections on the gauges are clean and tight. Forget about the temp gauge. They're never accurate.
