That's it! An MT is actually 130/90 and an MU is 140/85. You may be able to squeeze in a 150/80, but on my bike I fitted a later spec 1 1/8" wide belt to get it in. Things are darned tight in there, between the belt and the edge of the tyre. There are 150/80s available with the same load rating as the MU, but be sure to check, as it is also a popular size for much lighter bikes, so some that size are not man enough for a heavy touring bike.

Graham always has quick, polite and technically accurate answers.
I have the Dunlop E3s touring tire on my 2008 FLHRC great tires .
For your bike the front would be MT90B16 and for the rear MU90B16 the rear tire is just slightly wider and taller than you stock tire . It will fit fine.

Dennis Kirk is showing the rear as a MT not MU? says load range C. should I be worried about getting the MT for the rear instead of MU.?
