Radio won't come on, no power at fuse after jump start? HELP!
Hi, I have a 1998 Ultra, the battery went belly up on me yesterday and I had to jump it off (apparently not a good idea!) I got it home, and put in a new battery and everything seems fine but my radio is not working. Bike is all stock, with stock radio. No lights, clock, nothing at all. I did some research and checked the fuses under the left side cover, and both were good. Pulled the front fairing off to see if there is a fuse on the radio (there is not) and everything looks good there. Well, after messing with is some more, I discovered that there is no power at the radio fuse on either side. Where does power to the fuse come from and how can I fix this? I put a jumper wire from the next fuse (all other fuses tested good with my test light) and the radio powered up and came on and worked fine! Why do I suddenly not have power to the fuse for the radio?
Also, not sure if it is related or not, but I could have sworn my cruise light came on when I flipped the switch, and now it is not coming on. I haven't ridden the bike yet to see if it works, but just wanted to mention that too.
I am stumped, please help! Thanks
