CB add for 2014 Ultra

Just so you know, the cb module that Harley offers for the 2014's isn't tuned properly at all. The SWR (with stock cb antenna) comes in at 3.5. Should be less than 1.5. In time, the high SWR will damage the cb module. But since the warranty is up after 2 years, Harley's logic is that they will be glad to sell you another cb module.

I believe you can add the CB module to the Ultra, but keep in mind you'll not only need the radio but also a new handlebar switch (with the CB controls) & the antenna & hardware.

The only handlebar switch needed is the PTT. The ultra has the rider / passenger intercom so the PTT should already be there. If not, can get it as a kit.

If I recall properly, the Ultra in 2014 doesn't include the intercom. hat was one of the reasons I ventured toward the Limited.

Thanks for all the responses.
I called the local HD dealer where I bought the bike. Parts including radio, handle bar control, and antenna kit costs about $550. Basically the dealer said installed I should figure on a $1,000.
I'll pass for now and maybe look for something else or keep my eyes on ebay or CL.
Thanks again.
