Default Sad but true...2014 FLHXS in the shop.

My 2014 FLHXS with 70 miles is in the shop with what the dealer believes is a bad fuel injector.

Kicker....according to dealer the part is on back order until 09/24.

The mothership better make this right.

They offer a loaner?
Some free gear/parts?
Make a payment for you?

The service guys were on the phone when I left. I am certain they will find one sooner than that.

Make them pull a new fuel injector off a new bike...take care of the actual customer before the prospective one.

Seems like HD rushed the new bikes into the market without proper testing.

OP..I hope you get back on your ride fast!!

Did they change the fuel injector's on the 14's? Sounds like just bad luck, hopefully they'll get you going sooner then later.

New bikes sometimes break.
That is why they have a factory warranty.

This happens every year to a few of them, will ALL manufacturers.
Nothing unique to Harley either.

I would be upset too, but sometimes stuff happens.
This could have just as easily happened to any year bike you buy.

Lets not rush judgement just because it is a '14

Now we'll see how this particular dealer takes care of their customer.

A loner bike is not out of the question, but taking a part off of a new bike on the floor is pushing it a little.
