Exclamation 2012 FLHX Shuts OFF. DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE??

A few weeks ago while riding and at a stand still my 2012SG just shut off. I tried to restart and it turned over and shut off again. After a couple more tries it started up and off I went like it never happened. I've been riding ever since with no problems.
After riding all day today while attempting to follow my buddy part way home and sitting at a light the bike shut down again. This time after about 10 attempts of the bike turning over and shutting right down it finally started and kept running. I rode it a mile home as if it never happened. Got it home and restarted a few more times with no problem.
When the bike acts up it sounds like it gets a shot of fuel when started then no fuel forces the shut down. The bike has 26k miles and the fuel filter was just changed. Factory warranty has expired.
Anyone with any similar experience or expertise on this matter with suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

He had it changed at 26000+

Who installed it for you? Is there a warranty? How recent was it changed? Did it ever do have this issue before the filter was changed? Were you running on a full tank 1/2 tank etc..?

A lot of questions but more info is needed bro.

I installed the fuel filter myself 2 days ago. No warranty. Yes I had the same problem before the fuel filter change. Full tank of gas.

I just parked the bike for the nite. Tomorrow I was gonna change/inspect the fuse for the fuel pump. I know I have a short with my Garmin GPS because it shuts off intermittently. Perhaps the short has something to do with it. I don't see a relation but its possible something is touching?

I was wondering, how do I check the fuel pressure regulator? May be faulty?

When checking the regulator Pump puts out 55-60 psi and regulator knocks it down to 30-ish. If PSi post-regulator is higher than 32-34, than regulator is bad.

Might be a bad stop/run switch. I have a friend who we just replaced his (along with the start switch as they come together). He would select the 'stop' position, and the bike would not shut off.

Thanks for the input Griff. Hey Redd, I'm gonna look into the stop switch as well. I will let you guys know when I find out something. Any other ideas would be helpful. Trying to avoid going to The Stealer. I have a pretty good relationship with the local Service Manager hear, maybe he will throw me a bone.
