I have heard yes and no at the dealership. Has anyone had any luck getting the Street Glide Special with no pinstripes?

 

Just get a standard. Blank canvas that has a much cleaner look and saves you around 3-4k. If you have a smart phone that should be a sufficient GPS versus the expensive upgrade.

 

No. SG Special has got pinstrips period. I can see the dilema though. The 6.5" touch screen is very desirable, but many folks don't like pinstrips - me for one.

I love the way the pinstriping sets it off!

 

You also get security and ABS standard with the Special.

That's worth a grand right there.

Convince the dealership to swap parts with a regular street glide. They'll charge you extra to do it (more $$ for them), then they can sell a regular street glide with "special custom pinstriping" for more money too (= more $$ for them).

They should love the idea.

Or, just advertise that you want to swap. I actually love the stripe on the "special", especially the denim with the red. I wish the others had that kind of contrast.
