Default Touring Bikes, Apes and Cable Length

I've got a set of 12" apes on the way for my 2004 Road King and need a little help on new cables. I spoke with Customer Service at Khrome Werks and they thought I might be able to get away with +4" cables, but recommended +6" throttle, idle and clutch cables and a 6" longer brake line.

For anyone who's put a set of 12" apes on their RK or similar touring bike, how much longer than stock did you have to go?

Thanks for your help.

That sounds about right. I ran 16" Carlini's, which are actually closer to 17" and I ran +8" on all cables and lines and +12" on my electrical. It worked out perfect for me.

Same as RaceFace. I run +8" for all cables, and I have 16" Wild Ones bars.

You can get by with +4", but if you want to be safe just go +6"
