Default Cutting the headset cord?

I've been doing some searching and I don't think this exists, but thought I'd give it a try.

Want to have full function 2-way headset functionality for intercom, audio, and CB without the cord.

Basically the current corded headset/mic, just without the cord.

Like some sort of little Bluetooth dongle that would plug into the 7-pin connector that would "talk" to the headset and allow full 2-way communication to include the CB.

Does it exist?

NO

You can use a blue tooth setup, but it isn't going to plug into the intercom jack.

Exactly, doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do...course, I'm not an electrical engineer, so what do I know

I'm thinking I am going to contact one of the companies here locally that works with bluetooth technology. A vendor would need to be ready to order enough so a developer of the product would make a buck or two. I've been kind of hoping one of the "bluetooth helmet" folk would step up.

I just emailed Supertooth, a French innovator/manufacturer of Bluetooth technology (their claim to fame is the car visor bluetooth speaker). The inventor is a former CB radio manufacturer.

See if I can find anybody else.

I saw this a while back in another thread. It may be what you're looking for, but I have no personal experience with it..

Good luck...

Hmmm - that might just be the thing! I see they have a longer cord that might allow the dongle to be installed in a secure spot rather than on top of the tank.

I did get an email from SuperTooth referring me to an Italian developer/manufacturer. I would like to see a fully removable piece that doesn't have other wires attached (if that is possible).

Thanks for the link though - I bookmarked the site!

I believe J&M Audio offers a Bluetooth dongle. I recall seeing one at the Chicago bike show.
