Default Hit the mother load with a super bright headlight BUT. Need help

I have been wanting new headlight and passing lights for a while but just did not want to spend the money for the Phase 7 or the Daymaker. I went to Autozone and figured I would give the Silverstar ZXE a shot. $64 for 2 bulbs. I installed it in the main headlight and I swear it's is sweet. It's every bit as good as the Phase 7 light and could not be happier. It's very white and very bright. My dillema is they do not have a size that fits the passing lamps on my RK so it looks silly with the beutiful light in the middle and the blah bulbs in passing lamps. does anyone know of any alternatives that will provide atleast something close to the silverstar ZXE's/ Thanks in advance for any feedback. I think I have more in accesories than what i paid for the bike would love to save som money.

Jim

H-D sells superbright bulbs for the passing lamps. I have them and they are great. And they weren't unreasonably priced.

All those bulbs that are DOT compliant, they ain't brighter than stock. The blue tint makekes the light "whiter",therefore the eye perceives a brighter light..........

Very funny this is posted ...

Tonight im having a discussion with a friend. He has a friend who ordered these:
http://www.motorcyclehidlights.com/h...ights-c-71_135

Excellent HID light for the small money! However, in 2 weeks a bulb was blown. He replaced it tonight so i dont know about future longevity.

Another friend also installed them, a bulb blown already also!!!!!

So while i love the price, and the bright light, i like reliability better.

Is that just a terrible coincidence? or are they indeed crap?

Anyhow, my dilemma with buying was that they dont sell the fogs in HID. I wouldnt do just the headlamp, id want the full front

I also changed out my bulbs to the brighter ones, and they burnt out within a few months. Maybe they cannot take the vibration of our Harleys.

Now run the Phase 7. They are bright, white and cast a wide beam.
