Anyone in a supported traffic area and have the new GPS? I am wondering if you have to subscribe to XM traffic for it to work, or are they using the local FM broadcast services?

In other words ... does it work without an XM subscription?!

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it needs a XM subscription. That's how the HK unit in my wifes Buick works.
