The answer is.... after my dealer called tech services, as i suspected hand held mic's are not supported on 14's, mistake by not correcting manual and accessory catalog. bummer ,Mike

 

The accessory catalog also says a detachable backrest or tour pack rack can't be used with a 3 compartment windshield bag. 8-0

I saw that and wondered, what are they talking about?

 

My guess is, with last years lackluster release of NOTHING new, the rush to get the "RUSHMORE" release out on time (that was probably supposed to be last year, the show was a month late remember?)
What with ALL the changes, they had anyone that was breathing updating the catalog. Cut and paste uses no logic.. ;-/

This is gonna pizz me off.

I guess I, too, will have a mic for sale.

 

we can only hope someone will develop something that works. I am not thrilled but could live with pushing the ptt button on the bars if they made a mic that worked.

 

Not sure if you are interested in this or not. Gave up the hand held mic for this, can use it without a helmet or with a 1/2 helmet and works on the 14's using the PTT button. Sold by a sponsor on this site.
